The New Yorker's A to Z of NY Food: D is for Deli

Morning! This is @jamespomerantz with Day Two of my A to Z of New York Food. Don’t forget to share your alphabet of food photos and tag them with #TNYeats. Today we’re starting with D IS FOR DELI! I consider the deli the carnivore’s companion to an appetizing store. Sure, you can get an egg salad sandwich, but when I think of a New York deli, I think of pastrami piled high on rye bread. Katz’s Deli, open since 1888 on New York’s Lower East Side, serves up 10,000 pounds of pastrami, 5,000 pounds of corned beef and 2,000 pounds of salami per week! #food #newyork #deli
