The New Yorker's A to Z of NY Food: J is for Junior's

Next up on my A to Z of New York Food: J IS FOR JUNIOR’S! Many things about Junior’s Cheesecake probably changed in the 43 years that Mary Blevins (pictured) worked there. I’m pretty sure none of those changes were to the cheesecake recipe that has been in founder Harry Rosen’s family for three generations. Not pictured is the slice of Junior’s No. 1 Original Cheesecake that proceeded the pictured strawberry cheesecake. Both tasted the same as they did when I last had them years ago and I’m pretty sure they’ll be the same in however many years I go back, and that makes me happy. Junior’s cheesecakes are available in stores around the country but they're far more enjoyable under Mary’s watchful eye in the original Brooklyn location, surrounded by 64 years of Junior’s history. Share your J Food photo with #TNYeats so everyone can see them! #newyork #cake #food. Photo: @jamespomerantz
